The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

<p>Robert Louis Stevenson's novella follows <strong>Dr. Henry Jekyll</strong> a respectable London scientist who creates a potion that transforms him into <strong>Mr. Edward Hyde</strong> a violent and immoral alter ego free from social restraint. At first Jekyll believes he can control when he becomes Hyde indulging in dark impulses without consequence. But Hyde grows stronger and begins committing increasingly brutal acts eventually murdering a man.</p><p>Jekyll's transformations start occurring spontaneously revealing that his darker self is overtaking him. As his friends try to uncover the truth behind Hyde's identity Jekyll becomes trapped in his monstrous form. In the end a letter from Jekyll explains his tragic experiment and the collapse of his dual identity exposing the destructive power of unchecked inner darkness.</p><p></p><p></p><p></p>
