The subfamily CROCANTHINAE (Lepidoptera Lecithoceridae) of the world

This book introduces one of the poorly known moths (Lepidotera) in the world. The total number of Lepidoptera is more than 157000 species belonging to about 400 families. Of these Crocanthinae is one of the subfamilies of Lecithoceridae and all they are distibuted in the Oceanian and Australian Region with 85 known species. However it can be estimated that more than 3 times of species remain to be discovered in the world. This is an example how much the biodiversity in nature have been ignored. This book gives a broad overview of the diversity and structure of a small group of micromoths.
