Following a quickly regretted debauched night with roguish traveller Travis Izzie flees Brighton and finds work on an archaeological dig in the suburbs. Here Izzie believes she's found paradise and refuge with new friends unaware of her shameful behaviour. However the people who surround her are carrying their own burdens and secrets not least handsome botanist Gray who Izzie falls hopelessly in love with. If unrequited passion wasn't bad enough shaking off that night with Travis proves far more difficult and complicated than she imagned.
