Goddess Durga is worshipped as a principal aspect of the mother goddess Devi and is one of the most popular and widely revered among Indian divinities. Goddess Durga singnifies good over evil bringing an end to all wicked destructors. She is believed to unleash her divine wrath against the wicked for the liberation of the oppressed and entails destruction to empower creation. This anthology “ The Supreme Goddess...Maha Maya ” is an anthology under Aakhri Kalam Publication compiled by Aanushnaa Bandyopadhyay dedicated to Goddess Durga who is Supreme just as her name. She not only symbolises power and divinity but also is an example to the world that women aren’t less than men. Durga Puja is an annual Hindu festival originating in the Indian subcontinent which reveres and pays homage to the Hindu goddess Durga. So on this occasion we would like to present to the readers a series of writings by 20+ different writers around the world comprising their thoughts on the Great Deity.
