Meanwhile on the far side of the world an immigrant ice cream seller in Canada reads that a former business associate has disappeared and he knows the hunt is on. Soon hidden events from long ago intrude upon the lives of the stranger the priest and others in the village forcing each of them to reveal the secrets of the past and make difficult choices about the future.</span></p>
