The Tasker and Blackburn Families of Rawcliffe Hook Snaith and Goole
English

About The Book

This book follows the genealogy of the Tasker and Blackburn families who originated in the area around Goole in Yorkshire. There were branches of the Tasker family in Rawcliffe Airmyn Hook Cowick and Snaith. The Blackburn family farmed at Spaldington and Holme on Spalding Moor near Howden in the East Riding before moving to Goole Fields. Later members of both families lived in Goole itself. The title of the book reflects these movements. But Taskers and Blackburns married into other families and many of them moved away. There were sizeable branches in Hull Todmorden and other parts of Yorkshire and one large branch as far away as Seaham Harbour in County Durham. The book includes these side branches too. The family tree on the front cover provides an overview of the content. This book is available through the print-on-demand publisher www.lulu.com
