<P><I>Major revision of a landmark work in Old Testament scholarship</I></P><P>Ernst Würthwein's introduction to the <I>Biblia Hebraica</I> has long served as a textbook for generations of students interested in the history of the Old Testament text and the problems of textual criticism.
