The Theory and Practice of Pastoral Care

We live in a world where there is a definite need for pastoral care and counselling. Many communities experience high levels of crime violence prostitution drug abuse child neglect and other social evils. A large number of people suffer from psychological disorders. Psychologists and social workers render sterling service in this regard. Unfortunately many of these problems disorders and social ills contain a spiritual or religious component and these professionals are not always equipped to deal with this aspect.
