<p><em>The Three Musketeers</em> (<em>Les Trois Mousquetaires</em>) is a historical adventure novel by <strong>Alexandre Dumas</strong>. However they soon become allies when they fight together against the <strong>Cardinal's Guards</strong>.</p><p>D'Artagnan becomes involved in political and romantic intrigues including a mission to protect <strong>Queen Anne's honor</strong> from the scheming <strong>Cardinal Richelieu</strong> and the dangerous <strong>Milady de Winter</strong>. Alongside his newfound comrades he must navigate betrayals duels and secret plots in a story filled with action romance and humor.</p><p>The novel has inspired countless adaptations including movies TV shows and even comics.
