The tomato leaf miner Tuta absoluta Biology Morphology and Control

The tomato leaf miner T. absoluta Meyrick has invaded tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) crop in Egypt and is representing today a major threat to the production of this crop. Therefore integration with other control methods (cultural biological and biotechnological methods) becomes imperative as the continued use of chemical insecticides could harm non-target organisms (Landgren et al. 2009 Abdel-Raheem 2005 & 2013 Urbaneja et al. 2007 Abdel-Raheem et al. 2009 Abdel-Raheem and Zakia A. Ragab 2010 Abdel-Raheem et al. 2011a & b Zaki and Abdel-Raheem 2010 Ismail and Abdel-Raheem 2010 Sabbour et al. 2012 Sabbour and Abdel-Raheem 2013 2014 Lacey 1997 and Marta Rodríguez et al. 2006).
