The sports facilities are high gathering places around the world thanks to the sporting shows they offer to people eager for emotions and sensational actions. Among them are the multifunctional sports complexes. They have evolved over time both architecturally and organizationally to cater for the constant needs of sports fans. However their ability to be profitable over time outside the sporadic sports events they host is being questioned. Hence it is necessary to work on the strategies of their reconversion to avoid them falling into the myth of the white elephant. This is the case of the Yaoundé multipurpose sports complex in Cameroon. Indeed the purpose of this study was to demonstrate that the Yaoundé multipurpose sports complex is exploitable for tourism as this sporting infrastructure has the ability to be used to enhance tourism. To do this it was necessary on the one hand to make a situational analysis of that structure by highlighting the activities to attract as many visitors as possible within it and on the other hand to evaluate its capacity to attract the tourists'' attention by its setting and activities especially its external and internal design.
