The Trees Were Spinning

<p>I lived for two years in a dusty village near the coast of Kenya East Africa. I went with some thought of bringing change to the Duruma people but in the end I was changed as much or more than anyone else. Each chapter of The Trees Were Spinning tells a short story or two from my time there and reveals a facet of their culture (and often my own as well). Through the book you can follow my own growth and the humble lessons of life that I learned and the joy and struggles of living as a stranger in a strange land. God was near me on this journey but He did not leave me unchanged nor can I ever see life in the same way again. Come along and see the spinning trees with me!</p>
