It was home to the two biggest high schools in the state-fierce rivals whose spirit defined the community. The playgrounds were always full and hockey was king.</span></p><p></p><p><span style=color: rgba(29 28 29 1)>Everything seemed ideal. But like anywhere else in the world the East Side had its share of heartache and tragedy.</span></p>
