The Trick-or-Treat Corpse

<p>In this cozy murder mystery retired detective Nathan Nate Hawke tells the story of how he solved his first murder. Set in 1955 Nate is a precocious junior high student known as a liar and prankster. His dog Superman is a wise-cracking mutt with attitude his mom is a working single mother his frail grandfather keeps a secret in their garage his bossy teenage sister is in love with an armed hoodlum and the local detective has designs on his mother. What could go wrong?</p><p><br></p><p>That fall season at dusk while in the woods with Superman Nate stumbles upon a corpse and only his mother believes him. To prove to the local police he's not the liar he used to be Nate will have to recruit two friends and his spunky mother then solve this case on his own.
