On Labor Day 1938 Close To Breesvort Castle The Huge And Legendary Home Of The Spawling Tumultuous And Quarrelsome Breesvort Family Whose Forebears Tore Thousands Of Acres Of The Hudson River Valley Away From The Indians In The Seventeenth Century A Terrible Crime Takes Place. A Beautiful Young Woman Is Hunted Down Through The Woods By Night Slain With A Knife Stripped Skinned Like A Doe And Hung By Her Heels From The Tree Like A Flayed And Butchered Animal.
