Wodehouse put a lot of effort into writing his works frequently working on two or more at once. He may spend up to two years developing the narrative and penning a thirty thousand word scenario. He would finish the scene and then write the narrative. When he was younger he could finish a novel in around three months but as he got older it took him closer to six months.
