What has been called the civil war between Villa Zapata Maytorena and Carranza was actually the interference of the United States of America to favor Carranza with arms money and men.It is a reality that Carranza received arms from the US through the ports of Tampico and Veracruz and that the Mexican troops were trained by American officers.
