<p>How do I start? This book is about a journey one that took me seventy-five years to take. It all started in Illinois where I was born in 1941. My first memory was of being locked in a highchair and looking out the door to see the field on fire in the backyard. I was alone and I was scared. My older sister had been playing with matches and set the tall grass in the back on fire. Being alone and scared seem to follow me all through my life.</p>
