These inquiries now fuel my inner fortitude. The profound consequences of the deception awakened me and though they were overwhelming I emerged stronger my life transformed and my spirit renewed. I discovered that the trauma though profound could be overcome leaving me feeling empowered. Ultimately I chose not to bear the burden of the perpetrator's actions but instead I stood tall an innocent bystander who rose above the pain and I continue to carry the torch of resilience for myself and the women who stood with me in solidarity.
