The use of communities by seed companies in seed production in Africa

This book takes a close look at the dynamics of seed contract farming by private seed companies through engagement of smallholder farmers or communities in Zimbabwe. This is a cross sectional study which seeks to understand the selection criteria of contracted smallholder farmers to produce seed skills gap of smallholder farmers to effectively engage in seed production and pros and cons of community seed production system.
