<p>This book seeks to describe and explain the changes in the use of grave-goods by the Anglo-Saxons during the time of their conversion to Christianity roughly 600-850 AD. It is the first systematic attempt to describe date provenance and interpret the grave-goods accompanying 7th to 9th century burials.</p>
