Nearly a year has passed since Lwo's last burning destructive flash. The ground is seemingly safe but the fierce encircling storm remains constant. The lords remain distant and silent. With tens of thousands of displaced citizens still living in shelters and newly-crowded villages the peace that the land has enjoyed for centuries is becoming fragile. And yet another threat is emerging.Water flowing in from the ocean - water essential for the land and the people - has been compromised by a mysterious new substance. With no assurance of even filtered water's safety Lwo's watchers - ever vigilant and focused on their mandate to preserve what remains of humanity - do not hesitate to conduct field investigations. But they only lead to more questions both from the depths and elsewhere.Faced with these new challenges the watchers must work quickly to adapt and keep the land stable. With resources running thin and more peril with each passing day all of Lwo is at risk of failing to realize their hoped-for future one in which humanity still lives and Mother Earth has forgiven them and been restored.
