The Veilkeepers: The Saviors of Time!

<p>The sky was restless that night.<br/>Arin Vale pressed his forehead against the cold glass of his bedroom window watching the storm gather over the rooftops. The clouds churned like black waves swallowing the stars one by one. Lightning forked across the horizon but it wasn&rsquo;t the usual kind &mdash; it bent strangely curling like a ribbon lingering longer than it should.</p><p>He rubbed his eyes convinced he was imagining it. But then he heard it: a faint whisper like someone speaking from inside the wind.</p><p>Come closer&hellip;</p><p>Arin&rsquo;s heart thudded. He pulled the window open letting the storm air rush in. The whisper grew louder weaving through the rain. It wasn&rsquo;t words exactly more like a vibration that tugged at his bones.</p><p>The street below was empty slick with rain. Yet the air shimmered &mdash; faint cracks of light flickered above the pavement like glass breaking in slow motion. Arin leaned out breath caught in his throat.</p><p>And then the world split.</p>
