The Velveteen Rabbit

<p><em>The Velveteen Rabbit</em> tells the story of a shy toy bunny who longs to become Real. On Christmas he is gifted to a little boy but is soon forgotten among flashier toys. Only the wise worn Skin Horse shows him kindness and explains that toys become Real through a child's deep love. Over time the boy grows to cherish the Rabbit playing with him and even sleeping beside him. After a serious illness the Rabbit is nearly discarded but a magical fairy transforms him into a truly Real rabbit allowing him to live joyfully among wild bunnies-forever Real.</p>
