As the story jumps from past to present Millies prowess proves effective in both love and intentional loss. Her primary target is a charming billionaire Roger Glancey whom she uses to climb the ranks of society. When that relationship meets a dead-end Millie takes things into her own hands to keep the spotlight on herself.
