THE VISION

The Vision is the dream like quality of lofty ideals which the poet wants to have in reality as a consoling agent and the dreary dreams which he here depicts is not the one that means in the ordinary sense of meaning but the real aspiration and the hearty-longings of the poet which comes to him readily in the stillness of peace and serenity.  No sincerity of true love and affection of any sort say whether it happens between parents and children or between friends or lovers or even between the man and wife in the status of married life. The love has got no sense and meaning rather no value here that the affection is not lofty and glorified but based on some sort or other of anticipation or expectation.  The vision was first published in Nov 1981 and translated into Tamil in 2013 by Dr. Prof. B. Manivannan.
