The War Diaries

This edition of the Kasi Diaries draws upon the insightful entries detailing the events of the Second World War on a daily basis and aims to be a contemporaneous view of the genesis development and end of the war. The Diaries display a keen and observant mind and shows the writer to be a fascinating narrator of events with an easy style of writing and an excellent sense of humour. Almost to the day when Germany capitulated in May 1945 Kasi wrote in his Diary I have lived through this eventful period of the world's history - Thank God! What I found most fascinating about his jottings are events leading to World War II the rise of fascism in Germany Italy Spain and Japan and their initial victories ending in ignominious defeats.
