Caden Winters and his best friends have just finished high school and no one is more thrilled than him to start college at the most prestigious university Gladore on the planet of Alloterra. To make up for ditching Caden early during the farewell Elizabeth Bell agrees to spend an evening in the dangerous Loness Jungle with Caden hunting monsters. During this event Caden battles a terrifying dragon and lives to tell the tale. When Caden receives the Necklace of Ziar from his parents he tells them all about his daring adventure with Elizabeth. Caden’s mother freaks out and makes Caden promise that he won’t go out looking for danger like that. Even though Caden agrees with his mother and wants nothing more than to excel at his studies in Gladore it seems destiny has different plans for him…
