The War Poems

A few days before the Armistice Owen died in battle which was a terrible loss to English literature because he left behind some of the best poetry that accurately depicted the unfathomable atrocities of the Great War. The poems in this collection edited by Oxford Professor Jon Stallworthy are those for which Owen is best known and that stand as his major contributions to twentieth-century poetry.
