THE WAR SERVICE OF THE 1/4 ROYAL BERKSHIRE REGIMENT (TF)

Written by an Oxford History Don C R M F Cruttwell who also wrote a distinguished history of the Great War this is the war service story of Cruttwell's own unit the 1/4 Royal Berkshire Regiment a Territorial battalion which arrived in France in March 1915 and joined the 48th (South Midland) Division in May. It was first in reserve but subsequently fought at Ploegsteert the Somme Third Ypres and the Italian front. The narrative gives individual names and decorations (both Officers and ORs) given for specific actions. Illustrated with maps photos of senior officers.
