The Water Babies: A Poor Young Boy Goes to the Magical Underwater World

The story begins with ‘Tom,’ a young chimney sweep who toils under the misery of his harrowing work and cruel master until fairies arrive to turn him into a water baby. Plunged into the magical underwater life, the newest member in the delightful world, Tom encounters a unique bunch of cherubic fellow water babies and other water species that are telling him the stories of their origin. After a long and arduous journey through the other end of nowhere, young Tom accomplishes his heart's desires.
