The Western Lancet June 1877

The Western Lancet is a monthly journal of clinical medicine and surgery published in June of 1877 by the University of California. The journal features articles and case studies on a variety of medical and surgical topics including diseases of the nervous system gynecology and orthopedics. The authors of the articles are primarily physicians and surgeons practicing in the western United States although some contributions come from other parts of the country. The journal also includes news and updates on medical education and research as well as reviews of new medical books and publications. The Western Lancet provides a valuable glimpse into the state of medical practice and research in the late 19th century particularly in the western United States.This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
