The Winds of Fate

Caleb Morgan a widower for five years is unbearably lonesome. In desperation he advertises in a singles magazine for a female companion. Fiona Swailes an inveterate matchmaker answers his ad on behalf of her friend Minda Casady who is currently in New Zealand doing research for a book. Caleb's daughter Kari is furious when she finds out about her father's blossoming romance with Minda. She cannot accept the idea of anyone taking her mother's place and sets forth to destroy her father's romance by whatever means necessary. Caleb's son Luke takes the opposite view and does everything he can to back his father in his pursuit of happiness. Caleb and Minda weather a series of bad things happening to them until something happens that drives them apart. Whether or not they can get past it remains to be seen.
