The World I Live In

Keller describes the different senses she uses to navigate and understand the world around her such as touch taste and smell. She also writes about the importance of language and communication and how her ability to communicate with others through touch and sign language has enabled her to form deep relationships and connect with the world in meaningful ways. Throughout the book Keller reflects on her own feelings and emotions describing the joy and wonder she experiences when encountering new things as well as the frustration and isolation she feels when unable to connect with others. She also writes about her thoughts on beauty love and spirituality and how her understanding of these concepts has been shaped by her unique experiences.
