<p>Peter is a P.I. in the tradition of Sam Spade and Phillip Marlowe - fast talking and with a droll sense of humor. When Peter receives a phone call from Mrs. Mortimer asking about his services he recognizes who she is. She and her husband Gerald were often in the society column for their charity work.
