Theatrical Play & Physical Education

Children are naturally social but some seem to be better at picking up social cues while others such as children with ASD need help and encouragement. Each of those children has individual needs and abilities and may need to face different challenges in the school environment. Over recent years teachers and specialists have attempted to design individualized programmes to improve their social profile and therefore reduce anxiety. Theatrical play in physical education is a creative method that make-believe play as a significant learning medium in the human lifespan. Children can role-play situations act out imaginary scenarios or demonstrate fictitious images for the purposes of insight and growth. The children who participate in those programs feel more comfortable improve their ability to play cooperatively share speak with respect communicate and reduce stress.
