Thelma and the Ptarmigan

<p>Three friends go on a big beautiful road trip after college but the trip doesn't begin without a major hitch. On the road they get to better know each other including trying to help the most physical of the three come to terms with having just killed his father albeit somewhat accidentally. It climaxes with a rainy weekend visiting a favorite female friend but then another tragedy happens which the narrator can only talk about a month or so later. It says in the opening sometimes you have to let best friends fly away....</p>
