This book “Themes and Techniques in the Plays of Edward Albee” is based on the doctoral dissertation submitted by me to Sri Venkateswara University Tirupati. Albee ‘is the product of his culture’. He reflects every strength and weakness of the culture both as an artist and as a human being. The proof of this fact is that of his steady and valid presence on the stage for four decades till now ever since he wrote and produced The Zoo Story (1958).
