Theology and Violence: Church at Devil's Throne in Zimbabwe?

This book delves into the interplay of religion and violence in the context of Zimbabwe. Christian perspectives on violence lie at the intersection between one’s understanding of the faith and one’s practical experience in the civil society. The essential test is whether the Church could be characterized as pro-active or not. The book traces the prophetic ministry of the church or lack of it in independent Zimbabwe. An observation of historical trends within Zimbabwean contextual theology stimulated the author to further investigate the phenomenon of political violence in Zimbabwe. The political discourse largely dominated the Christian worldview in Zimbabwe.
