This book in the form of an essay on scientific literature is a set of theoretical reflections on humanitarianism in the South. We expose the close relationship between education and war in a context of globalization. In this respect we analyze the role of the countries of the North via international organizations as well as the countries of the South as beneficiaries. In this highly critical essay our theoretical perspectives are based on sociology anthropology and social service and have been approached from political economic cultural and intervention perspectives. We present three competing strands of thought in the broad field of humanitarianism. The debate on humanitarianism as fascinating as it is continues over time and is subject to ongoing reflection.
