There Is No 'Point B' : Awakening of a software engineer

<p>I spent three decades of my life running towards a &lsquo;Point B.&rsquo; &lsquo;Point A&rsquo; or &lsquo;where I am&rsquo; was never enough and I constantly sought a Point B &lsquo;where I should be&rsquo; where there will be more money more comfort more goodness more righteousness and in short more happiness. When I realized that money and career weren&rsquo;t the Point B I was looking for I came across the supposedly greatest Point B of all &ldquo;Enlightenment! Nirvana!&rdquo; I became a seeker traveled to ashrams and monasteries practiced yoga and meditations &ldquo;soul-searching&rdquo; travels around 25 countries all towards the Point B called &ldquo;enlightenment.&rdquo; Until one day after 15 years of intense &ldquo;seeking&rdquo; a simple direct and crystal clear recognition dawned in me that Point B is an illusion. A realization that there is nowhere else to go nothing more to do the present moment is all there is! Better bank balance may or may not happen better relationships may or may not happen better life may or may not happen but the present moment is all there is. Whether in Chennai or Paris or London or locked up in a toilet I&rsquo;m always &ldquo;right here.&rdquo; Whether sick or healthy or rich or poor it is always &ldquo;right now.&rdquo; Only &ldquo;right here&rdquo; and &ldquo;right now&rdquo; exist in the entire universe ever. Everything else is a story. Enlightenment is not miracles and long dreadlocks. Enlightenment is not smiling blissfully ever after. Enlightenment is a simple recognition that we are already home right here right now! There is no Point B.&nbsp;</p>
