Dick Is Eventually Rescued By A British Warship But He Is Traumatized By His Experience. He Is Unable To Return Home So He Decides To Join The Royal Navy. He Serves In The Navy For Many Years And He Eventually Rises To The Rank Of Captain. One Day Dick'S Ship Is Attacked By A Pirate Ship That Is Commanded By The Same Man Who He Dueled With Many Years Ago. Dick Defeats The Pirate Ship But He Is Killed In The Battle. There Is Sorrow On The Sea Is A Tragic Story About The Consequences Of Violence And The Importance Of Second Chances.
