When I was a child my hair would tangle with the breeze of a whisper. On the verge of tears at the mere sight of my brush Nana would distract me by scolding the wild animals she said were causing my tangles. Years later I used the same distraction for my daughters and now granddaughters. I have braided this everyday experience into a ridiculous rhyme which I completed after several days of detangling and rebraiding my youngest granddaughter's hair.
