Thermal Comfort in Schools Buildings

This work introduce the main principles and fundamentals of thermal comfort inside school buildings. A case study from Egypt representing one of the hottest arid climate of the world is analysed in terms of building performance and occupants'' response. Different design solution are presented through parametric design analysis in order to enhance the thermal performance of these examples and bring them inside the thermal comfort zone for human being. To reach these results several tools are employed in this work. These are; field study and monitoring computer-based tools (simulation programs) and both subjective/objective assessment.
