Thermal spray coatings and ultrasonic quality control

Thermal spray coating techniques are part of a wide range of surface treatment processes. Plasma spray coating is one of them and today it represents an industrial process offering effective solutions in a wide range of fields including biomedical and health (implants dental crowns prostheses) energy (gas turbines alternators combustion chambers) and transport (land vehicles trains aircraft). We opted to address our main target which is thermal spray coating technology where we explained the various factors that can have a major influence on the efficiency and quality of spraying. Through our study we concluded that this high-performance technique requires particular interest and advanced research in order to master it while acknowledging the reality of its absence at Moroccan company level thus missing out on an irrecoverable opportunity for development and profit. As a dry process this technique meets the ecological expectations of manufacturing processes.
