Thermoplastic Obturation Techniques

A successful root canal therapy depends upon complete obliteration of root canal space by a dimensionally stable and biologically compatible material. The various techniques used for obturation include warm condensation vertical condensation (System B) core techniques (Thermafil Soft Core Quick-Fill) thermoplasticized gutta-percha (Obtura) warm vertical compaction and cold lateral condensation. This book aims to describe and compare the techniques and systems available for obturation of pulp space. It also gives a detail of advantages and disadvantages of these techniques.
