The protagonist is a cross between a Corinthian dandy complete with a perfumed handkerchief heeled shoes and fan and the true devil himself complete with glaring eyes sharp intelligence and a ruthless drive for vengeance. The protagonist is a Nonpareil who can use a sword flutter her eyelashes to ensnare princes and stun matrons with her eloquence.
