Travel has changed dramatically over the last millennium. From danger and hardship to pleasure and leisure travel has become a modern egalitarian phenomenon. Today our lives are filled with amorous escapes city breaks beach and ski holidays bucket list travels cruises backpacking adventures package tours and all-inclusive stays. But while we are inundated with travel advice from family and friends Condé Nast Lonely Planet and Instagram about where to travel we hear precious little that gets to the true heart of why we travel or how we might go about our sojourns with more intention and thought.
