Thirty Dirty and Drowning

<p>It all began the typical way</p><p>There was darkness and pain</p><p>Storms that raged on without ceasing</p><p><br></p><p>I was thrust into the ocean</p><p>Drifting in the current</p><p>Bobbing in the waves</p><p><br></p><p>I learned to swim</p><p>Tread water to stay alive</p><p>But I also tasted drowning</p><p><br></p><p>I knew the boats were not for me</p><p>That the rafts would come and go</p><p>It was never my place to be on dry land</p><p>Though I had no love for the sea</p><p><br></p>
