Thoughts In Poetry

Poetry is a type of literature based on the interplay of words and rhythm. In poetry words are strung together to form sounds images and ideas that might be too complex or abstract to describe directly. In literary work expression of feelings and ideas is given intensity by the use of distinctive choice of words style and rhythm belonging to the genre of literature.A poem is a collection of spoken or written words that expresses ideas or emotions in a powerfully vivid and imaginative style. As a poet and a lover of poetry here are some collections of my poems over the years as University lecturer of English the poems are mostly narrative as a linguist. In this collection I explored various themes as birth life and death love and hate virtue beauty identity religion travels and journeys; celebration disappointment and failure among others.- For academic for leisure and for the fun of it.
